Qualifications Overview

In this lesson, you will gain an overview of the full qualifications workflow in TEAMS and how each stage contributes to accurate, compliant, and efficient qualification management.

By the end of this lesson, you will understand:

  • How qualifications are managed in TEAMS from setup through to final issuance
  • The importance of using TGA-compliant descriptive codes and names for qualifications and subjects
  • How TEAMS supports qualifications with different versions or streams through multiple program entries
  • Why report templates such as certificates, records of results, and statements of attainment must be configured after programs and subjects are set up
  • How merge fields and tables can be used to customise qualification-related templates
  • How TEAMS allows results to be marked at the assessment level, while only subject-level results flow through to certificates and statements of attainment
  • How finalised results are recorded in the student’s academic record and reflected in the qualification register
  • The different qualification outcome types recorded in TEAMS
  • When a student should receive a full qualification
  • When a student should receive a statement of attainment instead of the full program award
  • When NA may apply for students who do not meet the criteria for either outcome
  • How TEAMS manages qualification reissues when a student requests a replacement due to loss or damage
  • How TEAMS supports compliance reporting through reports
  • How the full process supports compliant qualification management in line with Australian standards

IMPORTANT: At the end of this lesson, you will then need to complete the quiz for it before moving on to the next Lesson.
