Add/ Edit Holidays

The lesson explains the difference between adding and managing holidays at applicant level and student level,  including how holidays affect applications, enrolments, subject dates, and end dates.

By the end of this lesson, you will understand:

  • how to add or edit Applicant Holidays from the Applicant Dashboard
  • how to add a new holiday at Applicant Level
  • what information can be entered in the holiday pop-up, including holiday dates, holiday type, and holiday notes
  • how TEAMS shows the related application that falls within the selected holiday dates
  • what the Apply holidays to this application checkbox does
  • how the Extend application dates checkbox affects the application end date
  • how the Extend application subject dates checkbox affects linked subject dates for the application
  • why applicant-level holidays can no longer be edited after conversion
  • how holiday changes can then be made from the Student Holiday screen on the Student Dashboard
  • how to view and edit saved holidays from the holiday listing screen
  • how to add or edit Student Holidays from the Student Dashboard
  • why the Holiday Type field is not mandatory but still recommended
  • how holiday types can support grouping and filtering in the Student Holidays report
  • why holiday types should ideally be set up in the User Codes screen
  • how TEAMS shows all enrolments that may be impacted by the selected holiday date
  • why a holiday must be applied to an enrolment if it is to affect attendance calculations or class allocations
  • how the Extend enrolment dates option recalculates the enrolment end date based on the holiday duration
  • how a holiday can change an enrolment from, for example, 104 weeks to 106 weeks
  • why understanding the difference between applicant-level and student-level holidays is important for correct data management in TEAMS

IMPORTANT: At the end of this lesson, you’ll need to complete the quiz before moving on to the next topic.
